Abstract: In this talk we will discuss a unified approach to the harmonic analysis of large class of semi-direct product groups. We present some novel methods in convolution theory, dual structure, and Fourier analysis of such semi-direct product groups. If time permits, I will also present some applications of those results in Gabor analysis and Zak transform theory.
