Abstract: My presentation is a part of the reading course with Prof. Penkov. During my talk I am going to present a proof of the fundamental theorem of Galois theory. In particular, I am going to show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the set of all intermediate fields of a Galois extension and the set of all closed subgroups of its Galois group.
